We want to thank everyone who is shopping at our physical walk up markets and via our Pick Up markets. Life has been really weird lately and we're so stoked that Seattle is committed to supporting locally grown food, sustaining Washington farmers, and allowing farmers' delicious produce and products to give you sustenance during the wackiest time.We had hundreds of events and cooking demos planned for the 2020 calendar year and canceling those on top of having severely restricted space for vendors (and shoppers!) plus having to postpone 3 markets until 2021 has had us a bit bummed and yes, that's putting it extremely lightly!Gifting farm bucks is lifting our spirits and we decided we're not stopping anytime soon. Be on the look out for ways to win farm bucks by either shopping at market, ordering via Pick Up Markets, or sharing your delicious farmers market finds with us on Instagram and Facebook. #thanksabunch #supportlocal #weloveourshoppers #FarmersAreFriends #wegotthisseattle ... Frequent ArtsWest collaborator Justin Huertas (@justinhuertas) says: "In The Last World Octopus Wrestling Champion, I got to put a Filipino American family on stage, and in an extraordinary circumstance—a superhero story. That’s just not anything I had ever seen growing up. The superheroes that I grew up with all looked a certain way. They were never Filipino. The women were never my mother. So how wonderful of an opportunity to be able to put my mother on stage as a superhero and to just say, this is what I grew up with in spite of all the media that didn't really show me this." At ArtsWest we're committed to sparking the imagination- not just for our audience members, but for our artists. What have you not seen before onstage that you'd like to see? ... See MoreSee Less
