Ballard Alliance (formerly Ballard Chamber of Commerce)
ABOUT THE BALLARD ALLIANCE:
- Newly formed in 2017, the Ballard Alliance has replaced the Ballard Chamber of Commerce. The initiative is focused on a small part of Ballard and funded by a self-imposed levy on property owners. The majority of Ballard Alliance's budget is allocated to a street sweeping program.
ABOUT THE BALLARD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (No longer operational):
- The Ballard Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest and strongest Chambers in Seattle. Since 1927, this organization has been a constant voice for local businesses and the community at large.
- In addition to offering promotional and networking opportunities, the Chamber plays a critical role in community engagement and advocacy to advance the interests of Ballard businesses and the broader community. The Chamber also provides opportunities throughout the year to join with Chamber members and others to help support various community events and causes.
- The Chamber produces the Seafair-sanctioned Ballard SeafoodFest, an annual weekend festival for over 40 years and now drawing over 60,000 people to the neighborhood.
